Criteria for granting AEO status
- Absence of serious or repeated violations of customs legislation and tax regulations.
- Applicant’s demonstration of a high level of control over operations and the flow of goods through a management system of commercial records and, if applicable, transport records, enabling proper customs checks.
- Financial solvency.
- An adequate level of competence or professional qualifications directly related to the activity being carried out (only for AEO with customs simplifications).
- Adequate levels of security and safety, considered satisfied when the applicant demonstrates maintaining appropriate measures to ensure the security and safety of the international supply chain, including physical integrity and access controls, logistical processes, handling of specific types of goods, personnel and partner identification. (Only for security AEO).
